Department Profile

Department of Accountancy and Business Statistics was established in 1985 after trifurcation of Erstwhile Department of Commerce.

—Before 1960, the erstwhile Department of Commerce used to run M. Com. (Advanced Accounting) which was renamed in 1969 as M. Com. (Accountancy and Statistics) and then in 1985 Department of Accountancy and Business Statistics was established separately.

—Department has its glorifying history of around six decades. Ever since the department has served the cause of the subject and the student community.  

-At present the department is consisted with six faculties (One Professor and Five Assistant Professor) 

—At present the department is running Ph. D. Programme, five PG courses, one UG course, and fourteen certification programmes (9 RUSA sponsored)

—Department has been working on group project entitled “Blockchain Accounting: An Exploratory Research” approved under MHRD- Ministry of Education RUSA 2.0.
